The public and private sector trade unions ADEDY and GSEE have called all their members and colleagues to participate in their 24-hour strike. The unions have arranged a rally for 11am at Areos Park, while PAME has organized a separate rally for 10.30am at Omonia Square. As a result, all public services will be unavailable, while hospitals and health centers will operate with security staff.
The federation of bank employees (OTOE), the maritime worker federation (PNO), the federation of port employees (OMYLE), dockyard unions, teachers, judicial employees, local government and the have all announced that they will participate in the 24-hour strike.
The air traffic controller union (EEEKE) has called its union members to participate in a three-hour walk out between noon and 3pm, which will mean that flights will be suspended. The federation of civil aviation employees (OSYPA) has called a four-hour walk out between noon and 4pm, which will affect flights to small, regional airports.
The journalist federation has called for all media to participate in the strike with a five-hour walkout between 10am and 3pm.
