Nine years after retiring, the former audit department supervisor of a tax office was fond to have 419,538.97 in her accounts, which she was not in the position to justify. As such, the auditing services issued her a fine of 113,656.47 euros.

The former tax services supervisor was found to have a number of personal and joint accounts with relatives across five different banks and in different currencies (euros, dollars, Swiss francs etc).

When she was questioned about the money, she was unable to provide an adequate explanation and was then fined by the Supreme Fiscal Court.
