The police arrested two Albanians, aged 22 and 26 years old respectively, in Nea Moudania of Halkidiki for the armed robbery and murder of a 31-year-old gas station employee at Nea Plagia on Thursday evening.

The two men entered the gas station at about 8:50 in the evening, wearing masks and brandishing a shotgun and knife. After giving them 400 euros, the armed robbers tied up and locked the 31-year-old clerk with another female customer in the station’s kitchen.

A motorcyclist later arrived at the gas station and the two men threatened him for more money. At that point the 31-year-old escaped from the kitchen and attempted to disarm the two robbers, who shot him in the chest point black range.

The armed robbers left immediately and the police quickly mobilized and was able to locate and apprehend them a few hours later.
