The Police announced that it arrested two Romanian men aged 35 years old at the International Airport in Athens for attempting to import 11.892 kilos of a form of crystal methamphetamine known as “shisha”.

The police are still searching for a foreign national of African descent who is believed to be the ultimate buyer of the narcotics. According to the police, this is the largest shipment of “shisha” to be confiscated in Greece.

The two Romanian men arrived in Athens on a flight from Nairobi, Kenya and during customs inspection the drugs were discovered hidden inside three suitcases. It appears that they received the shipment of drugs from Doha in Qatar. The two men also had 400 US dollars in cash and two mobile phones.
