A fire that broke out in an olive grove in Panorama in Voula, near Mount Imittos earlier in the day has been set under partial control. The Fire Brigade sent eight vehicles to tackle the fire, which started by burning low vegetation and quickly expanded.
The Fire Brigade also announced that the fire that broke out in a woodland near Asprovalta in Thessaloniki burned down an estimated 150 acres of holly oaks. No residential areas were under threat and the fire was extinguished with the air support.
