POSPERT’s 29th Congress took place yesterday, with the delegates casting a unanimous vote to condemn “the Samaras – Venizelos government for fascist-inspired closure of ERT” for adhering to troika-imposed austerity measures.

The also vote to keep ERT on air and condemned the “government’s divisive efforts to operate the thing called Public Television”. The employees scrutinized the government practices, which they claim are in violation of the constitution and other laws.

The ERT employees also single out the Deputy Minister of Public Radio and Television Pantelis Kapsis for trying to “divide employees and legitimize the government’s illegal means”.
