The IMF’s Executive Council approved the 1.8 billion euros loan to Greece, which is expected to be paid out on Wednesday.

The Council was updated on the Greek program and fiscal reform by Poul Tomsen, who was optimistic that Greece might achieve its fiscal targets for 2013 and a return to growth in 2014.

Earlier on Monday, the German parliament’s budget committee gave its approval for paying out the next loan installment. The decision is in line with Friday’s Euroworking Group approval of paying out 4 billion euros
