The nationwide federation of public finance services employees (POE DOY) and the union of Ministry of Finances employees have announced a 48-hour strike for the 27th and 28th of June.
The strike is in response to the dismantling of tax services (closure of tax offices, General Secretariat of Information Systems, etc) as well as the privatization of tax audits. The unions claim that the government is also planning dismissals.
Any deadlines (for outstanding debts, etc) due on the 27th or 28th of June, will be extended by one working day.
