The General Secretary of Public Revenue Haris Theoharis announced that the extension for tax returns will be detailed next week. The original deadline for submitting the relevant forms is the 30th of June.

Mr. Theoharis clarified that only one extension will be granted. According to the estimations of tax collectors, accountants and Finance Ministry officers, the deadline will likely be extended to the end of August.

Most forms are expected by the end of original June 30th deadline, which is expected to burden the electronic system. So far about 450,000 tax returns have been filed, from an estimated total of 6,500,000 expected for this year.
