Thousands of pensioners were not paid their pension this month due to mistakes made when submitting their tax ID numbers. As a result, there are huge lines outside IKA branches. In total 96,333 pensions have not been paid out (54,193 main and 42,140 supplementary pensions).

IKA announced that pensioners who have not received their pensions should refer to the Pension Payment Department of their local IKA branch. The announcement concerns IKA-ETAM, ETAM (former ETEAM) and TAPILT policy-holders. IKA’s director Robertos Spyropoulos commented on Mega TV’s morning chat show that they are doing their best to help.

If the correct information is submitted by the 6th of June, then the July pension will be paid out over the next few days. Should they submit their information after the 6th of June, they will collect their pension from the IKA branches after the pensions have been paid out to banks.
