The missing 13-year-old Christina Krassa, who had been missing from her home in Spata since last Sunday, has been found in Kavala. According to the twitter account of child welfare charity “The Smile of the Child” the girl has been taken to the hospital for precautionary purposes.

The Police had launched a search operation in the area surrounding the Pangeo Mountain in Northern Greece, after it transpired that the 13-year-old girl was lured out by a 23-year-old Albanian Marion Aiazi with whom she had come into contact via facebook. The police are still searching for Aiazi for questioning.

According to the Police investigation so far, the 13-year-old girl traveled on her own from Athens to Thessaloniki, where she took another bus to Kavala. The two were in hiding until Wednesday, when they were found wandering in the mountainous area of Pangeo. The couple asked for food from a Bulgarian shepherd, who later contacted the police.

After confirming the identity of the 23-year-old Aiazi, the Police narrowed their investigation. On Thursday evening the Police finally found the 13-year-old girl at the house of the 23-year-old’s boss, but were unable to apprehend him as he disappeared into the darkness.

The Police are still searching for Aiazi, who had been deported last year for possession of narcotics.
