On his third day of testifying as a witness at the Felony Appeal Court, Panagiotis Vlachos openly accused the former Minister of National Defense Akis Tsohatzopoulos of accepting bribes.
According to Mr. Vlachos, his investigation revealed that funds from the «Ferrostaal» and Russian «Antey» off-shore companies ended up in bank accounts controlled by the Tsohatzopoulos family.
Mr. Vlachos further estimated that the sum that was diverted from Antey to Mr. Tsohatzopoulos’ accounts were about 10% of the price paid by the Ministry of National Defense, indicating that an arrangement had been made.
