According to the Parliamentary Committee examining the controversial “Lagarde list” scandal, there is a strong possibility that former Minister of Finances Giorgos Papakonstantinou will face further felony charges, such as fraud.

In order for the new felony charges to be added to the case file, the Parliamentary Committee must forward the request to the Parliamentary Assembly to decide, after at least 30 MPs have approved the matter for discussion.

These developments are directly related to the revelation that the French Ministry of Finances had sent a copy of the “Lagarde list” in an official capacity, on the understanding that it was used for tax purposes.

SDOE is expected to conclude its investigation on Mr. Papakonstantinou’s relatives. In the meat time, the former PASOK Minister Giannis Ragousis will testify before the Parliamentary Committee after he commented on the “weird behaviour” of the ministerial council regarding the “Lagarde list”
