Three women who were arrested for participating in the clash with police forces in the Skouries forest are on trial at the Misdemeanor Court of Polygyros. The trial has been postponed twice already, the first time at the request of the three defendants and the second due to one of the defense attorneys being unavailable.

The three women, aged 25, 39 and 40 are accused of participating in the protest against the gold mining investment in Skouries and while attempting to block police vehicles clashed with police forces. They face misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, civil disobedience, insulting officers of the law, causing bodily harm and attempting to free a detainee.

Residents from all of Halkidiki are expected to hold a rally outside the Polygyros courts in solidarity to the three women on trial.
