Gazprom’s Head of the International Business Department Pavel Oderov will be visiting Athens, for the third time in recent times, for the privatization of DEPA. It is likely that the Gazprom representatives will meet with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras to discuss privatization. Further rumors suggest that Deputy Chairman Alexei Miller will also visit Athens.

After China, Mr. Samaras briefly visited Azerbaijan, where he discussed matters related to natural gas and the proposed TAP pipeline. It should be noted that the European Union will impose certain terms and conditions on the potential sale of DEPA to the Russian natural gas giant.
