The President of the Parliamentary Committee examining the “Lagarde list” scandal Christos Markogiannakis has clashed, once again, with SYRIZA MP Zoi Konstantopoulou, over the duration of former SDOE chief Ioannis Diotis’ testimony.

The root of the argument appears to be the questions that Mrs. Konstantopoulou asked Mr. Diotis, after Mr. Diotis admitted to have accessed a number of files related to people in Thessaloniki between the 8th of April and 18th of August 2011, during which time Mr. Diotis was in touch with then Minister of Finances Evangelos Venizelos.

The SYRIZA MP denounced Mr. Markogiannakis for arbitrarily intervening with questioning during a critical stage of the investigative procedure. Mrs. Konstantopoulou then stated she intended to formally complain to the President of Parliament Vangelis Meimarakis since she claims it is an attempt to violently cover up the truth.
