SDOE has sent the full “Lagarde List” to the Parliamentary Committee examining the scandal. The list includes the HSBC bank accounts of 918 individuals, such as ship owners, industrialists, lawyers, doctors and relatives of former ministers. The 78 top accounts have over 10 million dollars, while 282 beneficiaries have over 2 million dollars.
At the top of the list is Maria Panteli with 562,896,546 dollars in her account; however during the Committee examination it appears that she was simply the online manager of the account for a trust fund. In second place is Solomon Levis, with savings of 557,938,829 dollars. Mr. Levis also appears as a beneficiary in other accounts in the list. Mrs. Pinelopi Sapountzi is in third place with 108,586,482 dollars.
Mr. Sabby Mionis, head of the CMA Group that employed Mrs. Panteli, appears in the list with 80,619,625 dollars in his account. Mr. Mionis did not appear before the Parliamentary Committee, but claimed (in writing) that he was managing the funds of third parties.
Other interesting individuals included in the list are publishers Fotis and Maria Bobolas with 23 and 21 millions respectively; the Prime Minister’s advisor Stavros Papastavrou, his parents Nikolaos and Fani and the Shabri Limited offshore with 5.3 million dollars each. Former minister Giannos Papantoniou’s wife Stavroula Kourakou had an account containing 2.1 million euros. The cousins of former Minister of Finances Giorgos Papakonstantinou are in 391st place, with 1.2 million dollars.
The financial prosecutors Grigoris Peponis and Spyros Mouzakitis will continue examining the list, in order to determine the origin of the funds. The full list can be downloaded here.
