ELSTAT, the Statistics Authority in Greece, has publicized its data regarding new orders and turnovers for January 2012. According to ELSTAT’s data, the general index of new orders was reduced by 9.8% compared to an 11.4% reduction last year.

The Statistics Authority claims that this is due to the increase by 1.3% of the new orders index for the internal market and the reduction by 18.2% of the new orders index for the foreign market.

Regarding turnovers, ELSTAT noted a 9.9% reduction since January 2012, compared a 12.8% reduction that was noted for the previous year. ELSTAT also noted the reduction of the internal market turnover by 20.9% and an increase of the foreign market turnover by 7.9%.
