DIMAR has issued a statement regarding the recent attack on the gold mine in Skouries, detailing its worries over an exceptionally dangerous “phenomenon”.
The government partners explained that “the events at Skouries of Halkidiki are an exceptionally dangerous phenomenon. The criminal hooded attack on the gold mine facilities is unprecedented and worrying for the Greek economy.”
“Regardless of opinions and citizen claims over the gold issue in Halkidiki, the solution to any problem cannot be done in ‘paramilitary operation’ terms, of violating employees and destroying. Such actions objectively undermine democratic stability. DIMAR is against violent action, wherever they might come from”.
