The First Instance Court of Xanthe has justified the claims of the local government union of Xanthe, regarding the suspension of 14 civil servants for the municipality of Xanthe in October 2012.
On the 5th of November 2012, the First Instance Court, after the union’s application, had issued a temporary order suspending the suspension measure against the 14 workers.
The new decision forces the Municipality of Xanthe to preserve the civil servants in their positions, with the wages they had until the day they were to be suspended. The 14 civil servants had been paid only 70% of wages, as per the suspension measure provision.
The local government worker’s union considers the court order to be a positive sign regarding the main case that employees have brought the suspension measure.
