The Ministry of Administrative Reform is going to suggest the abolition of 73 of the 700 total bodies of the general government. According to the Deputy Minister of Administrative Reform Manousos Voloudakis, the suggestions have been sent to the relevant ministries. The whole process is expected to be complete by the end of March.
About 700 bodies employ 13,000 people, across the 14 ministries. The Deputy Minister stated that those who are considered to be unnecessary will be inducted in the civil servant mobility program.
