The Makis Psomiadis – AEK F.C. case has been postponed indefinitely, after Mr. Psomiadis’ legal team made the necessary claims. Mr. Psomiadis is accused of embezzlement, with AEK F.C. hoping to collect between 44 and 88 million euros.

The courts held that the case cannot be examined, since the necessary legal documents have not been sent from Skopje, where Mr. Psomiadis was arrested and initially held. Haris Economopoulos, who represents AEK F.C., stressed that a new case be assigned on a set date.

Mr. Economopoulos explained that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed him that the relevant legal work from Skopje is processed and it only remains to be sent to Greece. The court, however, insisted upon its initial position for an indefinite postponement, but committed to setting a new day when the evidence is made available.
