The Chania Tax Office received an envelope containing a 9 mm bullet and a warning letter. The office supervisor Erasmia Protopapadaki, who opened the envelope, reported it to the local police.

The printed message stated that “In the event of the property of any Cretan or Greek being liquidated, the consequences will be serious” and was signed “Cretan Revolution”. This the first time anything like this has happened at the Chania tax office.

The tax office has filed a complaint and police have revealed that the letter was postmarked in Heraklion.
