The committee for revenue monitoring and the prevention of tax evasion is meeting at the Ministry of Finances. Present are the Minister G. Stournaras, Deputy Minister G. Mavraganis, General Secretary of Public Expenses H. Theoharis and other executive officers.
The committee will convene twice a week (on Wednesdays and Fridays) to monitor the progress of monthly revenue goals, for tax purposes and to ensure fines are collected. The committee also coordinates actions against tax evasion, with a particular emphasis on expediting the collection of overdue bills.
