Government representative Simos Kedikoglou accused SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras of “political adventurism”. In response to Mr. Tsipras comment that he would ally with the devil to save the country, Mr. Kedikoglou said that “he remains without a compass”.

In a televised interview on state television, Mr. Tsipras spoke of hard loan negotiations without the Memorandum, recognized that “there is no money” and claimed that there is opportunity to avoid the downfall and restart the economy.

The SYRIZA leader further assured that his party does not want to scare away any investors, but that any development will be done “based upon the interest of the country”. Mr. Tsipras also demanded elections before the German elections in fall. He also promised to cooperate with “popular center”, the right and center left.
