No buses, trolleys, OSE and suburban rail trains will be available on Monday, due to strikes. Metro services have resumed, although the “Doukissis Plakentias – Airport” service is not operational on Monday.

Bus and trolley employees have decided to continue their strike over payroll disputes, with a general assembly scheduled to take place later in the day, rather than Tuesday as originally planned. On Sunday the courts decided that the strike is illegal, without the presence of union representatives, who claim they were not contacted on time.

On a Saturday meeting of bus, trolley, suburban rail and train employee representatives it was decided to continue with the announced 24-hour strikes. An emergency meeting was held again on Sunday evening after the court decision, to determine their stance.

The management of OSY is calling employees to return to their posts and appears to be open to discuss all matters, except anything relating to the application of the law regarding payroll. The government’s intention is to end the strikes, at any cost.
