Former PM’s brother slander case examined

The court case of Antrikos Papandreou, brother of former PM Giorgos Papandreou, against Panos Kammenos, leader of the Independent Greeks party, has begun. Mr. Papandreou sued Mr. Kammenos when the later implicated him in the sale of CDS of a potential Greek default.

Mr. Papandreou is demanding one million euros in damages, following the MPs comments about Mr. Papandreou’s participation in the investment group that bought CDS from the Postbank, expecting the spreads to “explode” should the country have defaulted on its debts.
