Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras expressed his optimism, regarding the serious problems faced by Cyprus and Greece. Upon exiting the European People’s Party convention in Limassol, the PM stated that “Greeks always faced difficulties and always dealt with them successfully”.

When asked about the topics at the EPP convention, the PM responded that they day’s agenda did not include any issues relevant to the Cypriot problem. Mr. Samaras then noted that the EPP is the most important and strongest party in the EU and he is always very moved when in Cyprus.
