The head of SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dimitris Avramopoulos on Thursday. Mr. Tsipras wanted to inform the minister on the results of his visit to Brazil and Argentina. The ministry offered the Opposition leader institutional support.

Mr. Tsipras underlined that it was not his intention to “copy models” but to “internationalize the Greek problem to two allied countries”. Mr. Tsipras commented that in their quest for solidarity he found “willing ears” and stressed that his party’s priority is to “develop a multidimensional and active foreign politics” and asked that relations with Latin America be upgraded.
