Σε μια λαμπερή εκδήλωση απονεμήθηκαν εχθές βράδυ -Δευτέρα 10 Δεκεμβρίου- τα American Country Awards στο Mandalay Bay, στο Λας Βέγκας.
Μεγάλος νικητής της βραδιάς ήταν ο Λουκ Μπράιαν, ο οποίος απέσπασε εννιά βραβεία μεταξύ των οποίων τα «Male Artist», «Αrtist of the year», «Singleof the Year» και «Music Video of the Year» για το «I Don’t Want This Night to End», «Αlbumof the Year» για το «Tailgates and Tanlines» κ.α.
«Σπάνια μένω άφωνος, αλλά τώρα πραγματικά δεν έχω λόγια» δήλωσε ο Λουκ Μπράιαν μετά την μεγάλη του επιτυχία. «Δεν βρίσκω τον τρόπο να βάλω στη σειρά μια σειρά από λέξεις που να μπορούν να δείξουν πόσο ευγνώμων είμαι σε όλους όσους με ψήφισαν και έκαναν αυτή τη νύχτα πραγματικότητα… Έχουν πραγματικά μια ξεχωριστή θέση στην καρδιά μου».
Από τις μεγάλες νικήτριες της βραδιάς ήταν και η Κάρι Άντεργουν, η οποία απέσπασε τα βραβεία «Female Artist of the Year» καθώς και το «Single of the Year: Vocal Collaboration» για το ντουέτο της με τον Μπραν Πέισλι «Remind Me». Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι η Κάρι Άντεργουντ έχει στη πλούσια συλλογή της συνολικά έντεκα ACA’s, περισσότερα από κάθε άλλο καλλιτέχνη.
«Αυτά το βραβείο μου τα «χάρισαν» οι θαυμαστές μου που ψήφισαν και γι’ αυτό σημαίνουν πολλά για μένα» δήλωσε η τραγουδίστρια μετά την τελετή απονομής. «Ήμουν πολύ τυχερή κατά την διάρκεια της μέχρι τώρα καριέρας μου. Είχα πολλές σημαντικές υποψηφιότητες και η αποψινή βραδιά δεν αποτελεί εξαίρεση. Ξέρω ότι έχω υπέροχους θαυμαστές» συμπλήρωσε.
Ανάμεσα στους νικητές ήταν και το συγκρότημα Lady Antebellum που απέσπασε τον τίτλο «Artist of the Year: Group», ο Τζέικ Όουεν που αναδείχθηκε «Breakthrough Artistof the Year», η Μιράντα Λάμπερτ που με το «Over You» κέρδισε το βραβείο «Single of the Year: Female», ο Τζέισον Αλντιν που ονομάστηκε «Touring Artist of the Year» και πολλοί ακόμη.
