The president of second division football club Kallithea F.C. Nikos Salevris was found dead on the beach in Alimos this morning, after being reported missing on Thursday.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, but it appears that the well-known businessman suffered a heart attack while swimming and drowned.

Salevris disappeared on Thursday evening, with his family finding personal items on the Alimos beach, before contacting the Police. The Police began its search and located the businessman’s body at around 10am on Friday.

The Greek Football Federation (EPO) and Super League issued statements, expressing their sorrow sadness for Salevris’ passing.
