Democratic Left president Fotis Kouvelis met with Archbishop Ieronymos in order to discuss the cooperation of the Church and State in relation to the increased social needs during the recession.

Exiting the Archbishop’s Hall, Mr. Kouvelis explained that “our cooperation will continue in order to deal with the problems and promote solutions with real results for the Greek people”. Archbishop Ieronymos referred to an “imperative need” of the Church and State to cooperate in order to confront the problems faced by the people.
