Tension is running high on Chios, as migrants and refugees at the Moria hot spot continue to protest the major delays in the examination of their applications for asylum.
On Monday the Asylum Services employees abandoned their posts and the protesting refugees proceeded to set fire to the offices. The Fire Brigade and riot police units have been dispatched to address the situation.
