The police are on the trail of a large gang of Greek and Albanians, who are believed to have carried out at least 12 to 15 robberies of banks, gas stations and other businesses.
According to police sources about 20 suspects have been detained in the past couple of days, with ten of the suspects facing arrest. Many of the gang members are based in the coastal area of eastern Attica.
The investigation, according to sources in the police, is considered “particularly important”.
