The medical examiner’s report is expected to shed some light in the cause of death of a 28-year-old man, whose body was found in the Corinth Canal on Sunday by the Coast Guard.

According to the Coast Guard, when the 28-year-old man was found in the canal he was unconscious and after being rushed to the local hospital was declared dead.

The local Coast Guard department has been tasked with the investigation, with the forensic medical service of Nafplio–Kalamata conducing the autopsy.
