The bank holiday has been extended to Thursday, the 16th of July, according to the Government Gazette that was published on Tuesday.
A number of bank stores will open, where limited services are available. Pensioners without bank cards may receive up to 120 euros on a weekly basis. The withdrawal caps from ATMs have remained at 60 euros per day.
Customers will also be able to make payments towards the State, public utilities and insurance companies, either by depositing cash or making transfers from their accounts. Outstanding debts may also be paid via credit card.
