A discussion is currently under way in Parliament on the critical bill containing a series of prerequisite measures, that were agreed upon in Brussels on Monday.

The bill, which contains a number of critical reforms that must be ratified in order to proceed with the agreement reached in Brussels on Monday, was submitted to the relevant committees in Parliament (Financial Affairs, Public Administration, Production and Trade, Social Affairs) at 10am on Wednesday.

The aim is for all committees to review the bill by 1pm, so that it can then be submitted for discussion in the Parliamentary Assembly by 2pm. The vote on the critical bill may then be complete by 9pm, although delays cannot be ruled out.

The agreement reached in Brussels on Monday sets out a strict and clear timetable of actions that need to be taken and as such, it is possible that some procedures may be expedited or compressed.
