The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Kotzias attended a business lunch with the ambassadors of the Asian Group, which was organized in his honor by the South Korean ambassador.

According to a tweet by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussion was focused on Greece, international security issues, migration and combating recession.

Mr. Kotzias referred to the Cypriot dispute and argued that it is “a problem of invasion and occupation, not splitting financial resources” and that “a good solution does not need guarantors”.

The Foreign Affairs Minister claimed that he is working towards developing ties with Turkey “in all sectors” and expressed his concerns about recent developments in the neighboring FYROM, noting that “irredentism is behind the naming dispute with Skopje”.

Finally, Mr. Kotzias stressed that solution to migration must be European, if not global.
