The restoration of the ancient theater of Delphi is scheduled to be complete by Spring 2017, after receiving funds worth 1.7 million euros from the District of Central Greece. The restoration efforts will be handled by the Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities.

It has been announced that the restoration efforts will include the ancient theater’s retaining walls, auditorium and orchestra. The theater and the northern slope of the auditorium will also be drained.

The restoration of the ancient theater will be a joint venture between the Ministry of Culture and District of Central Greece. The efforts will be supervised by the Directorate of Ancient Monument Restoration.
