A serious collision occurred around 11am on Petrou Ralli Avenue, near the Immigration Department, which has resulted in two people being killed and three injured.

It appears that a driver lost control of his car and crashed into a kiosk on Petrou Ralli Avenue. Preliminary reports suggest that three cars were involved in the collision.

Two people appear to have been killed in the fierce collision: a thirty-year-old woman and a man whose details have not yet been confirmed.

Of the three people injured in the crash, two men and one woman, the woman had to be amputated at the General State Hospital in Nikea.

Police, ambulances and fire brigade services have rushed to the scene, blocking off traffic on the avenue.
