Two Golden Dawn supporters were found guilty of attempted homicide on Monday, in relation to an assault that the neo-Nazi party carried out against the anarchist community center “Antipnia” in Petralona which took place in 2008 and during which two people were stabbed.

The two defendants, Vasilis Siatounis and Athanasios Stratos, were found guilty of attempted homicide, illegal weapon possession and use and received prison sentences of 13 years and six months and 11 years and 6 months respectively. The courts did not recognize any mitigating circumstances.

According to the court proceedings, the Siatounis and Stratos were part of a group of about 20 people who attacked the center with hammers and knives, attacking those who were located inside at the time. The prosecutor noted that the group had organized its assault, with each participant having a specific role.
