According to the latest poll conducted by the University of Macedonia, main opposition party SYRIZA has a six-point lead over coalition government party New Democracy.

The poll shows that 24% of voters would support SYRIZA in upcoming elections, compared to 18% of respondents who support New Democracy. The neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn comes third (6.5%), while the River, KKE and the Olive Tree are tied in forth place with 5.5% each.

The Independent Greeks party would barely make it into the new Parliament, as it received 3% of votes in the poll, while the troubled DIMAR would not make it with 1% of preferences. The rate of undecided voters though is rather high at 21%, while 10% of respondents would vote for other parties.

The survey also shows that a minor majority of respondents was in favor of calling early general elections over the upcoming presidential election, with 54% being in favor and 46 arguing that the current Assembly must elect a president.
