The largest Greek public sector trade union ADEDY has announced a demonstration against the coalition government’s suspension and dismissal plans, which will take place at 6:30pm on Thursday in Klafthmonos Square.

ADEDY issued a statement accusing the coalition government of “continuing its merciless politics which lead suspended workers to gradual dismissal”.

The demonstrators will march towards the Ministry of Finances to support the cleaners’ struggle, who have yet to be reappointed despite a court order. A solidarity concert in Syntagma Square will take place after the demonstration.
