According to SYRIZA’s Nikos Voutsis, the government and opposition have come to an agreement regarding the suspension of funding for political parties, such as Golden Dawn.

Mr. Voutsis told the Athens news agency APE-MPE that the Ministry of Interior submitted some amendments that “are in the right direction, based on the public dialog and coordination of the parties”.

The changes introduced are in line with SYRIZA’s wishes to ensure that Parliament is in agreement with such drastic and “serious matters”. SYRIZA’s proposals stated that at least one fifth of a party’s MPs, MEPs or central command must be indicted or detained.
