According to Eurostat’s latest published data, there was a slight decrease in the number of the unemployed in Greece, for the first time in the past two years.

The Eurostat data indicates that compared to May, in June there were estimated to be 24,000 less unemployed people, a first since April 2011.

Even though the div appears to be rather insignificant in the grander Eurozone scheme of things, it demonstrates that change is starting to take effect and unemployment is subsiding.

Inflation during the same period was found to remain stable, at the 1.6% rate that was previously announced in June.
