An earthquake that measured 5.1 on the Richter scale took place this morning at around 8.30 between the islands of Samothraki and Imvros. So far there have not been any reports of damages in the area.
The earthquake was felt as far away as Thrace and Easter Macedonia. According to seismologists, the earthquake took place above the Anatolia crack. Professor Efstathios Lekkas explained that the earthquake was noteworthy for scientific purposes.
