Alexis Tsipras’ trip to Croatia for the 6th Subversive Forum in Zagreb on Wednesday and Thursday has been deemed a success, as the Greek Opposition leader managed to impress audience and speakers alike.

Slovene philosopher and cultural critic Slavoj Zizek admitted that he was a fan of the Greek opposition leader and stressed that he was looking forward to acting as a consultant, in reference to rumors that Mr. Zizek unofficially assuming the task.

Economist Giannis Varoufakis was also present and confirmed that had been an advisor for former Prime Minister Giorgos Papandreou, which he regretted as a “foolish” choice. Mr. Varoufakis claimed to be an awkward Marxist, but a Marxist through and through and in favor of a democratic, liberal socialism.

Perhaps the greatest compliments, with the greatest media impact, were made by American director Oliver Stone, who not only declared Mr. Tsipras to be “the future Prime Minister of Greece but also “the hope of Greece, Europe and the rest of the world”.
