The nationwide union of pharmacists (PFS) has warned that it will proceed with new strike action due to the unacceptable delays by EOPYY in paying its debts towards them. The PFS noted that they have intervened in the past over what it characterizes an “unacceptable, illegal and unconventional” delay of payment.

In a letter addressed to the political leadership of the Ministry of Health, the Thessaloniki pharmacist union clams that they are still awaiting payment for debts generated in January 2013, which according to current legislation should have been paid back by the 10th of April. The union explained that February’s debts should also have been paid.
