The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has announced that taxpayers will be getting their ENFIA real estate tax bill for 2018 by the end of August.
Taxpayers will be able either to pay the entire bill in a lump sum or in five instalments.
About 15 percent of taxpayers will have a real estate tax hike, compared to what they paid last year.
The deadline for the first instalment is 30 September, and 31 January for the last instalment.
The real estate tax bills this year will be based on the recent overhaul of tax valuations of properties nationwide.
Many reports have indicated that nearly one million taxpayers will pay a higher real estate tax this year.
In an announcement, AADE said that the process of issuing ENFIA real estate tax bills and the submission of E9 property declarations will not be available on Friday , 17 August, at 11am , as planned, but rather will be posted on 31 August.
According to the data released by AADE, 1.47mn taxpayers (23 percent) will pay less real estate tax than last year, and about four million taxpayers (62 percent) will pay the same as last year.

Twelve percent of taxpayers will pay up to an extra 50 euros, 2.3 percent percent will pay between 50 and 200 euros more, and 0.7 percent of taxpayers will pay an additional 200 or more euros in real estate taxes.
